What to Expect at Good Life Chiropractic

Your first visit should give you clarity, not confusion.

At Good Life Chiropractic in Sartell, we take time to understand what is going on, how it is affecting your life, and what your body may need next. Our process is thorough, personal, and designed to help you feel heard, informed, and confident before beginning care.

Whether you are dealing with back pain, neck pain, headaches, TMJ issues, sciatica, sports-related aches, or recurring tension and stiffness, we start by looking at the bigger picture. That includes your spine, nervous system, movement patterns, health history, lifestyle, and goals.

Your First Visit

1

Schedule your appointment

Most patients begin by calling our office or booking online. Before your first visit, you’ll complete your new patient forms so we can better understand your symptoms, health history, goals, and any past injuries or concerns.

2

Start with a consultation

Your first visit begins with a conversation. We’ll sit down with you to learn what brought you in, how long the issue has been going on, what you’ve already tried, and how it is affecting your daily life.

This is also a time for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether Good Life Chiropractic is the right fit for your needs.

3

Complete a thorough examination

From there, we perform a detailed chiropractic exam to better understand how your body is functioning. Depending on your case, this may include posture analysis, range of motion testing, orthopedic testing, neurological testing, movement assessment, spinal evaluation, muscle testing, and nervous-system-focused assessments.

We are not just looking at where it hurts. We want to understand what may be contributing to the problem.

4

Use scans and imaging when appropriate

Many first visits include thermal spine scans, rolling thermography, surface EMG, and full-spine digital X-rays when clinically appropriate.

These tools help us evaluate areas of stress and dysfunction in the spine and nervous system, better understand your structure, and make more informed care recommendations. X-rays are not used for every patient, and we make that decision based on age, health history, pregnancy, symptoms, and clinical need.

5

Discuss the next step

In some cases, your first visit may include an initial treatment, such as a chiropractic adjustment or low-level laser therapy. This is more common with acute cases.

For many patients, especially when symptoms have been present for a longer time, we wait until your follow-up visit so we can review your exam findings, scans, and imaging before making a clear recommendation.

6

Schedule your follow-up visit

Before you leave, we’ll schedule a follow-up visit to review what we found, explain what may be contributing to your symptoms, and walk through your recommended care plan.

Our goal is for you to leave your first visit feeling listened to, cared for, and clear about what happens next.

Follow-up Visits

Your follow-up visit is where we review your findings, explain what they may mean, and talk through your recommended care plan.

Regular visits are based on your needs and goals. Care may include specific chiropractic adjustments using Gonstead Technique, Torque Release Technique, or a combination of both. Depending on your plan, visits may also include low-level laser therapy, soft tissue work, functional movement and rehab exercises, mobility work, posture or ergonomic coaching, and home care recommendations.

Not every patient needs every part of our care process. Some patients need more rehab support. Others may need a more focused chiropractic plan. Your recommendations are based on what we find, how your body responds, and what you are trying to improve.

As you make progress, your care plan may change. We may progress your exercises, reduce visit frequency, shift the focus from relief to rebuilding, or help you maintain the progress you’ve made.

Our Approach

A Clear Process From Relief to Better Function

Understand

We start by listening. We want to understand your symptoms, health history, goals, past injuries, lifestyle demands, and how the issue is affecting your daily life.

Your first visit may include posture analysis, range of motion testing, orthopedic and neurological testing, movement assessment, spinal evaluation, nervous-system-focused scans, and digital X-rays when clinically appropriate.

Plan

After your exam and findings, we explain what may be contributing to the problem and outline a care plan based on your needs.

For some patients, the early focus is calming symptoms and reducing irritation. For others, the plan may also include rehab, laser therapy, soft tissue work, and home care from the beginning.

Build

As you improve, we continue checking how your body is responding. We may progress exercises, adjust visit frequency, and shift the focus from relief to better movement, stability, and long-term resilience.

The goal is not just to feel better for a few days. The goal is to help your body function better so you can stay active and engaged in the life you want to live.
